Javier is an architect from Mexico City who studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where he completed the Special Thesis Seminar Intersticios 7 (SETI 7), a multidisciplinary program focused on housing, urban resilience, and sustainability.
His undergraduate thesis, Distrito Energético: Hidrógeno Verde y Metabolismo Industrial, was presented at the MIT School of Architecture and Planning and the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. He has also contributed to research on housing and risk in Mexico City as part of the project Las Unidades Habitacionales en la Ciudad de México: La construcción social del riesgo. Additionally, he was part of the team selected for the 2025 edition of Pabellón El Eco with the proposal Lugar entre espacios.
His professional trajectory includes collaborations with institutions such as MIT and the Secretaría de Gestión Integral de Riesgos y Protección Civil, as well as with recognized Mexican architecture firms including Taller OH and Estudio Estudio. His work reflects a strong interest in the relationship between urban systems, risk, and the built environment.
He currently serves as a Junior Architect at AMA, contributing to projects through the integration of territorial analysis and functional strategies that respond to contemporary challenges. He supports the design and 3D modeling of elements that help communicate ideas developed by the Collective-Scale Architecture team. Javier approaches architecture as an ongoing process of learning and critical thinking, bringing curiosity, analytical rigor, and a collaborative mindset to each stage of the design process.
Javier aims to design with empathy, drawing inspiration from projects such as the Chrysler Building, Distrito 22 in Barcelona, and Kendall Square at MIT, as well as architects such as Renzo Piano and elements such as light. He continues to expand his perspective through interests in photography, music production, and digital representation, while balancing his personal life by finding inspiration in exercise, time with family, and listening to music.
DREAMS ARE BUILT.
WE DO NOT DESIGN SPACES. WE BUILD NARRATIVES.
EVERY PROJECT IS BORN FROM A VISION, STRUCTURED WITH INTENTION, SUPPORTED BY SOLIDITY, AND PROJECTED WITH AUTHORSHIP.
DREAMS ARE BUILT.
