Andrés was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, in 1989. He holds a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, where he graduated with honors in 2012. Prior to completing his studies, he expanded his expertise through an Intensive Interior Design program at the Pratt Institute in New York, USA, enriching his architectural perspective with global insight and design rigor.

He began his professional trajectory at Sordo Madaleno, quickly distinguishing himself through exceptional design acumen and strategic vision. In 2016, he was appointed Project Director, overseeing complex, high-profile projects and developing a deep understanding of all factors that contribute to architectural excellence, from client engagement to the coordination of multidisciplinary teams.

Throughout his tenure, Andrés led major projects across Latin America and the Middle East, managing prestigious client portfolios including Soho House and Park Hyatt. His leadership combined design innovation with operational precision, establishing his reputation as a director capable of delivering world-class architecture on a global stage.

Driven by a vision of collaborative creativity and narrative-driven design, Andrés founded AMA—Architecture with Narrative. The studio embodies his commitment to a participatory design process, where ambition, teamwork, and integrity converge to create architecture that is both meaningful and meticulously realized.

Since its founding in 2023, Andrés has strategically led AMA through a sustained period of growth, positioning the studio as an emerging practice with an increasingly international profile. Under his direction, the firm has advanced complex, large-scale projects in collaboration with globally recognized partners and expanded its scope through the establishment of an engineering, construction, BIM, interior design and communication division. Today, AMA comprises a team of more than 35 collaborators, reflecting a strong commitment to design excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and rigorous execution.
