Angie is a Mexican-American designer and communications strategist with a background in Interior Architecture from CENTRO, as well as studies in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and Graphic Design from John Brown University. Her practice is shaped by a multidisciplinary approach that connects editorial, graphic, and spatial design through clarity, structure, and emotional resonance.

Her formation has expanded through studies in UX, editorial design, business development, visual composition, and writing through programs and workshops by Google, HG Estudio, DOMA, Mariana Rossier, and Augusta Pastor. Her experience spans graphic design, editorial systems, communication, and interior architecture across freelance, academic, and professional contexts. She also worked as a writing coach supporting international students in the development of academic writing and communication skills, and participated in Enactus as Vice President of Membership, focusing on team development, organizational culture, and community building. Her relationship with narrative extends beyond design into literature: she received a short-text writing award from Guillermo Arriaga and is currently developing her book Si es que existes.

She currently serves as Communications Manager at AMA, where she manages the articulation and communication of the studio’s identity through coherent narrative and visual systems. Her work focuses on translating the studio’s logic, values, and vision into clear and compelling communication, aligning discourse, representation, and experience across editorial, graphic, and spatial platforms.

Her approach to design is rooted in introspection, intensity, and structure, balancing analytical rigor with emotional sensitivity. Glass remains her favorite element, understood through its duality of fragility and stability. She finds continuous inspiration in writing, familiar spaces, everyday rituals, and the work of architects such as Carlo Scarpa, Peter Zumthor, and Juhani Pallasmaa.
