Rodrigo was born in 1998 in Oaxaca de Juárez, Mexico. He is an architect who graduated from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, where he received the Academic Excellence Award for the highest GPA. He was awarded third place in the Oscar Hagerman International Competition in 2021.
He has been a speaker at DERIVAS DE ARTE Y ARQUITECTURA, a collaborative event with ARTE ABIERTO, FA UNAM, and FUNDARQMX, held in the context of the centenary of Abraham Zabludovsky, and participated in the Ciudad Universitaria tour for the exhibition Poesía en Piedra at Unno Gallery. He has also taught a photography course in collaboration with FUNDARQMX, written articles for the ReUrbano and FUNDARQMX blogs, and collaborated in the SCI-Arc Mexico Summer Program 2022.
He began his professional career at Leo Burnett, later continuing at OIOIOI and Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos, where he contributed to projects such as Café El Minutito, Hermanos Koumori Flagship Store, and Google Headquarters Mexico City, among others. In 2026, he joined AMA, where he develops interior design projects from the narrative phase through execution across different scales, ranging from furniture pieces to interior spaces, and is involved throughout the entire process.
Driven by playfulness as a creative force to challenge conventions, Rodrigo finds inspiration in spaces such as Tomba Brion and in architects like Ricardo Bofill, references of an architecture that explores the unconventional. In his approach to design, shadow and the “negative” become key elements. His main sources of inspiration include nature, art, cinema, literature, friendships, and strangers, as well as everyday objects that acquire new meanings. These interests are also reflected in his personal pursuits, forming an active part of his creative process.
DREAMS ARE BUILT.
WE DO NOT DESIGN SPACES. WE BUILD NARRATIVES.
EVERY PROJECT IS BORN FROM A VISION, STRUCTURED WITH INTENTION, SUPPORTED BY SOLIDITY, AND PROJECTED WITH AUTHORSHIP.
DREAMS ARE BUILT.
