Hector Ortíz

Site Supervisor

Héctor, born in 1993 in Mexico City, studied Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He also holds a technical degree in Construction from the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), and has complemented his education with programs such as the Young Leaders Course at IPN in Querétaro (2010) and a basic Revit Architecture course (2023).

With over 14 years of professional experience, he has led and executed more than 15 remodeling and maintenance projects across Mexico City and the State of Mexico, demonstrating strong skills in coordination, technical supervision, and on-site management. His career includes experience with companies such as MII MAVI S.A. de C.V., CYM.MOV, and DRCK Arquitectura.

He currently serves as a Site Supervisor at AMA, where he oversees construction processes and ensures the proper execution of projects. His role involves cost control and budget management in coordination with architecture, interior design, and engineering teams, translating construction drawings into real, on-site quantities that support informed decision-making without compromising quality.

Guided by functionality, Héctor finds inspiration in architects such as Santiago Calatrava and projects like the Turning Torso. He also identifies fire as a key element that informs his perspective on design. Beyond architecture, he finds inspiration in everyday activities such as running and listening to music at home, and enjoys dancing salsa and watching horror and thriller films.
